PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive structure for facilitating mounting work of a rolling bearing unit on a car body. SOLUTION: A harness 32 is led out from a portion shifted from an axial center of an outer ring 3 or the side face of a cover 18 fixed to the outer ring 3, while rigidity of the harness 32 for taking out a detected signal of a sensor 21 is kept in a prescribed value or more. The whole length of a portion comprising a portion, of the harness 32, exposed from the cover 18 toward its outside and a connector 33 connected to the harness 32 is made twice or less the length of an outer diameter of a fixed side cylindrical part 37 which is one portion of the outer ring 3 and a portion or the cover 18 side concerning the first attaching part 1. The harness 32 and the connector 33 are prevented thereby from coming off from a virtual cylindrical face α on a cylindrical face same to the fixed side cylindrical part 37 outward in the diametric direction, under a condition assembled to a car body.
