摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a complexion color (one example of specific colors) from becoming unnatural by means of gamma correction, in displaying an image of a high APL(average picture level of luminance) in a PDP or the like. SOLUTION: Relating to a video signal processing device that performs gamma correction by reading from aγ-ROM 10 the gamma correction data corresponding to APL of inputted, R, G, B signals; a complexion adjustingγ-ROM 20 in which the gamma correction data are stored corresponding to the complexion color, the RGB ratio input part 24 and storage part 28 which set the RGB ratio corresponding to the complexion color are provided, and only when it is discriminated, by a picture quality correction processing circuit 22, that the APL of the inputted R, G, B signals are higher than a specific value and that the detected RGB ratio is the same as the set value of the RGB ratio storage part 28, the gamma correction data corresponding to the skin color are read out from the complexion adjustingγ-ROM 20 instead of reading those corresponding to APL from theγ-ROM 10, with the inputted RGB signals corrected thereby.
