PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens driving device which does not generate unwanted vibrations, even in the case of controlling with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This objective lens driving device 40 is provided with an objective lens holder 3 capable of holding objective lenses 1, 2. The objective lens holder 3 has a shaft hole 4 having the axis line parallel to the optical axis of a 1st objective lens 1. A yoke 6 holds a sliding shaft 5 which freely penetrates the shaft hole 4. The objective lens holder 3 is provided with vertical drive means 10a, 10b which can be driven in the axial direction of the sliding shaft and rotating drive means 7a, 7b which can drive the objective lens holder 3 in the circumferential direction of the sliding shaft 5. Side pressure adding means 7a, 7b, 10a, 10b energize the lens holder 3 toward the sliding shaft 5 so that a plane angle, which is formed between a straight line connecting the center axis of the sliding shaft 5 to the optical axis of the objective lens 1 forms with a straight line connecting the center axis of the sliding shaft 5 to the contact point of the shaft hole 4 of the sliding shaft, is 90 deg. or smaller.
