PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use, small stepping motor whose torque is not reduced even by making the motor small and thin. SOLUTION: This motor is constituted of a rotor 10 formed with a permanent magnet, a yoke 20 arranged outside the rotor 10, a coil member 25 extended from the yokes 21, 23 and wound with a coil 30. This structure enables a coil arranged on the circumference of the concentric circle of a rotating shaft in the prior art to be shifted in the lateral direction, there making it possible to suppress the total thickness of the motor to 'H', the thickness obtained by adding the thickness of the yoke part and a motor case to the diameter 'd' of the rotor 10.
