PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize and display moving image data from a video camera based on an NTSC system and image data from a computer while separating the monitor of a non-interlace specification for the computer from the computer. SOLUTION: In this remote display system, a conversion and storage means 1 converts image signals supplied from the video camera 3 based on the NTSC system to digital data and stores the image data of odd-numbered fields in an odd-numbered row storage area and the image data of even-numbered fields in an even-numbered row storage area. Digital image data received by a reception means 13 are stored in a digital image data storage means 15. An output means 17 reads and synthesizes the image data stored in the conversion and storage means 11 and the digital image data storage means 15, converts them to the signals of the monitor 9 of the non-interlace specification for the computer and outputs them. A VGA monitor 9 displays the image signals supplied from the output means 17.
