PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain low speed operation of a line buffer to be used for a circuit part for reduction/expansion processing by providing N partial line buffers for storing preceding line image data equivalent to 1/N (N is a prescribed integer) pieces of pixels in one line of original image data. SOLUTION: In a reduction part 130, image data DV0 inputted to a line buffer part 320 are alternately written in first and second partial line buffers 322 and 324 for every one pixel. Also, those image data are alternately read for every one pixel. As a result, preceding line image data DDV0 being image data before the image DV0 by one line are synchronously outputted from the line buffer part 320. Writing or reading of the image data for the partial line buffers 322 and 324 is executed in a cycle which is two times as fast as the cycle of the original image data DV0 to be inputted or the delayed image data DDV0 to be outputted and operated at a speed which is 1/2 times as fast as that. |
