MEASUREMENT SAMPLING METHOD FOR HIGH AND LOW FREQUENCY MIXED SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure both high and low frequency signals in the same measurement system and to simplify the measurement system by sampling and holding the high or low frequency signals in every period by means of the high and low frequency period signals. SOLUTION: A timing control circuit produces the high and low frequency periods and actuates both high frequency voltage and current sampling/holding devices in a high frequency period and also both low frequency voltage and current sample-and-hold devices in a low frequency period respectively. The timing control circuit also generates the high and low frequency periods Ta and Tb based on the pulse waveform that is produced by a thyratron 4 and then actuates one of both sample-and-hold devices that is corresponding to the periods Ta and Tb. The period Ta shows a period including the rise through the fall of a pulse generation signal (a) when the high frequency is generated. Both periods Ta and Tb are generated based on the signal (a) and its period which are instructed by the thyratron 4.
