PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide with a simple constitution a disk-shaped recording medium constituted to prevent the collision of a head slider against the projecting part of a landing zone at the time of refuge of the head slider to the landing zone, even if a flying height is small. SOLUTION: This disk-shaped recording medium has a data recording area 13a, where the head slider floats at the prescribed flying height at the time of rotational driving and which is used for recording and reproducing data by a head mounted at the head slider and the landing zone 13b, which is disposed adjacent to the data recording area and with which the head slider comes in contact at the time of rotation stop. The landing zone has a projecting part 13c formed by transfer of the shape formed in the metallic mold for molding, in such a manner that the height increases gradually from the data recording area side toward the opposite side.
