DATA RETRIEVING SYSTEM AND DATA CACHING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the consistency of data and to shorten retrieval response time from a retrieval-only client by providing the data retrieving system with one or more distributed cache database server for caching data and one or more retrieval-only clients for retrieving data in addition to a master database server. SOLUTION: When data requested from an operator of a retrieval-only client 27 does not exist in a distributed cache database 21 of a distributed cache database server 18, e.g. following a master database server 10, a retrieval request is outputted to the server 10. The server 10 returns a retrieved result to the server 18 and simultaneously registers bit data in a bit map table 16. The server 18 receiving the retrieved result registers the retrieved result in the database 21 and transfers the retrieved result also to the client 27.
