PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent photographic and image characteristics and high carrier mobility by making a charge transport layer contain a specific benzine derivative as polycarbonate resin, and charge transport material containing specific repeating units, as a binder. SOLUTION: A charge transport layer contains a benzine derivative expressed by a formula III as polycarbonate resin and charge transport material containing repeating units expressed by formulas I, II as a binder at the mol ratio of the former/latter to be 0.01/0.99-0.99/0.01. In the formula III, R1 and R2 independently represent hydrogen carbon, alkyl group, fluoroalkyl group or fluoroalkoxy group; two R3 independently represent hydrogen atom or alkyl group; Ar1 and Ar2 independently represent aryl group that can have substituents excluding R1 and R2, The mixed quantity of the binder is preferably 5-500 pts.wt. to total 100 pts.wt. of the charge transport material.
