PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of image format conversion processing and to obtain an image with reduced quality deterioration. SOLUTION: The converter divides the picture data of one picture in a pixel block 13 to be interpolated into prescribed pixel blocks and obtains a pixel block 14 obtained by shifting one pixel in the Y direction to execute linear interpolation by adjacent pixel data. Namely a pixel block 15 is obtained by executing interpolation processing between both pixel blocks 13, 14. Then pixel data arrayed on the lowermost stage of the pixel block 15 are copied. |
