PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous traffic signal controller for attaining flexible control corresponding to a traffic situation without requiring for any specific control pattern. SOLUTION: This device 1 is provided with a sensing processing part 10 for generating a sensing signal according to an output signal from a vehicle sensor, a request extraction processing part 20 for generating a demand signal corresponding to the traveling direction of a vehicle based on the sensing signal or the like, a relation monitor processing part 30 for judging whether or not the plural extracted demand signals are in a conflicting relation, a demand level calculation processing part 40 for deciding the demand signal to be preferred by calculating a demand level to be time-integrated according to a function set by an evaluation processing part 50 for each demand signal whose conflicting relation is judged, a processing part 60 for updating a light color preparation table for designating the light color of each traffic light at an intersection based on the preferred demand signal, and a light switching part 70 for controlling the aspect of the signal light according to the light color preparation table.
