PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the management of data by confirming the content of card sales total data stored in vending machine and the information of whether or not the card sales total data are already transmitted to a card issuing organization at any time. SOLUTION: An IC card reader/writer 2 accepts an IC card 11 in which financial values are recorded as electronic data, rewrites the data of the IC card 11 to a value after the price of sales merchandise is subtracted, and stores the price of the sales merchandise as card sales total data. The card sales total data are transmitted to a remote data collecting device 15 based on a transmission command. In this vending machine, the content of the card sales total data totaled and held by the IC card reader/writer 2 and the information of whether or not the card sales total data are already transmitted can be printed by a printer 8 as necessary.
