PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a recording length and to attain reduction in a printing processing time in an image output device, such as a printer connected to a transmitted party device in transmitting a multilevel image by radio. SOLUTION: When the number of sub-scanning direction pixels of a transmission object image is larger than the number of main scanning direction pixels (step S104), a processing for dynamically converting a longitudinal direction into a main scanning direction is executed (steps S105 to S107). In this way, when the number of pixels of the image of a transmission processing object is larger than that of the main scanning direction, image rotation is applied dynamically, and a recording length at a printer or the like is made shorter by shortening the sub-scanning direction.
