<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment capable of setting the sheet number of recording paper stackable on a paper discharge tray as an image output limit sheet number beforehand, removing the cause of the overflow and jam of the recording paper and using a function matched with the handleability of a user. SOLUTION: When image information is received, when an image information output limit function is present (S20; Y), at the time of the detection start time (S21; Y), the received information is outputted to the recording paper and the sheet number is counted (S22). The presence/absence of the reset of a manual counter is judged (S23), the reset is performed when needed (S24) and S22 is returned. When the reset is not required, the presence/absence of the achievement of a changeover sheet number to memory storage is judged (S25). When a counter value becomes the same value as the limit sheet number, changeover to the memory storage becomes present and storage to a memory 18 is started without performing output (S26).
