PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a lead-acid battery, the electrode having excellent stable initial performance and causes no problem such as insufficient formation due to accumulation of gas in a formation time or inhibition of diffusion of water and sulfuric acid in a discharge time even when the electrode surface is coated by a thin film. SOLUTION: An electrode 1 for a lead-acid battery is manufactured by filling a band type sheet prepared by expanding lead alloy thin plate with a paste type active material and coating the active material surface with thin films 7a, 7b. In this manufacturing method of the electrode 1, a roller with a projection is used so as to previously form a hole/slit continuously in the thin films 7a, 7b before coating of the electrode 1. |
