PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a discharge product produced in the vicinity of a main charger from adhering to a photoreceptor drum by providing a means for driving a fan for discharging the discharge product to the outside for a specified time whenever the driving of the photoreceptor drum is stopped. SOLUTION: An imaging unit 2 is housed in a printer main body 1. The main body 1 is also provided with a fan 3 for discharging a discharge product such as ozone or NO produced in the vicinity of a main charger to the outside. The fan 3 is driven and controlled by a controller such as a CPU installed in the main body 1. Whenever the rotation of a photoreceptor drum is stopped, the fan 3 is driven for a specified time to discharge the discharge product produced in the vicinity of the main charger to the outside. Thus, the discharge product is efficiently prevented from adhering to the surface of the photoreceptor drum. |
