PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the durable limit of a tank by simulating the corrosion condition of a pressure tank for sucking, unloading, or storing a corrosive substance with time on a corrosion gauge, periodically measuring the corrosion gauge, and automatically detecting the damage of the corrosion gauge. SOLUTION: A tank corrosion detection device body 14 with a corrosion gauge 3 is mounted to a tank wall to detect a corrosion condition. Also, a corrosion gauge C in a spherical-surface shape is used and corrosion environment, load conditions, stress occurrence condition, and the like are simulated similarly as a tank drum plate to easily measure the corrosion speed of a tank. By using a plane-shaped corrosion gauge B and damaging the gauge when the corrosion margin of the tank drum plate is corroded, the durable limit point of the tank is warned.
