PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the corrosive property of environment in a short time even in the environment where the concentration of a corrosive factor is low and temperature is constant by cooling a test piece and repeating dew formation and drying on the test piece and accelerating the fixing of the corrosive factor in the environment. SOLUTION: A metal test piece 6 is glued to the cooling side of a thermoelectric cooling element 7, and a fan 8 for cooling is arranged at the cooling side of the thermoelectric cooling element 7. After the metal test piece 6 is mounted to the thermoelectric cooling element 7, the metal test piece 6 is cooled up to a temperature for forming dew, namely a temperature or less of environment to be measured and a temperature equal to or higher then 0 deg.C in the environment for forming dew on the surface, and then conduction to the thermoelectric cooling element 7 is stopped, and the temperature is naturally returned to a room temperature for drying. After that, when the temperature of the metal test piece 6 has returned to a room temperature, the thermoelectric cooling element 7 is energized again, and the metal test piece 6 is cooled, and dew is formed on the surface again. In this manner, by repeating a cycle of dew formation and drying on the metal test piece 6, a corrosive factor in the environment is condensed and is fixed on the surface of the metal test piece 6.
