TRANSMISSION CONTROL PROTOCOL RESEGMENTATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain transmission control protocol(TCP) resegmentation by providing resegmentation entity arranged in either of hosts or each network interface of the hosts. SOLUTION: Information packets are exchanged between plural hosts over an electronic network by this device. One of the hosts is provided with the resegmentation entity arranged in either of one or more hosts or each network interface of the hosts to receive the information packet with different size as other information packet of plural hosts as transferring it and to resegment a large information segment in the information packet to a small sub-segment in plural corresponding information sub-packets. A transfer engine 20, a TCP resegmenter 22 and network interfaces 27 to 29 are included in the resegmentation entity.
