PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect the position of the register mark of a divided plate image inputted from a divided plate film and further to perform registration. SOLUTION: A master plate film having more than respective colors C, M, Y, and K is read in by a monochromatic scanner, predetermined register mark detection areas of read-in divided plate images of respective colors are scanned longitudinally and laterally to detect the positions of register marks (S4), and the respective divided plate images are registered (S5) according to the detected positions of the register marks. After the registration, plate surfaces are sectioned as to the respective divided plate images, set (S6), and outputted (S7). |
