PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-definition and high-reliability reproduced image by correcting the video signal of the line sensor type camera in real time each time a read of one-line width is made so that variance is eliminated. SOLUTION: The intensity of the video signal obtained, line by line, through the line sensor type camera 15 is corrected. In this case, a reference time needed for a read of one-line width is determined and the intensity of the video signal is corrected by multiplying the intensity of a video signal, obtained by each read, by the correction value obtained by dividing the reference time by a read time needed for each read.
