PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and easily record the preserved data of a storage medium and to accurately and easily manage the preserved data by preparing print data including the data name of data selected so as to be preserved and printing the prepared print data on a sheet of paper by making the print data correspond to the storage medium. SOLUTION: This device consists of plural terminals (electronic cache registers 10) and a host device (store controller 30) connected through a network (LAN) with each terminal. Then, print data including the data name of data selected so as to be preserved can be prepared and the prepared print data are formed to be printable on a sheet of paper to make the print data correspond to a storage medium (floppy disk FDK). When the data to be preserved are selected, the print data including the data name of the selected data are prepared, and the print data are printed on the sheet of paper to make the print data correspond to the storage medium FDK. Also, it is preferable that the sheet is a single slip (label) whose the back face is pasted.
