PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emission spectral analyzer having a slit adjusting mechanism which eliminates a gap between an eccentric shaft forming a cam mechanism and an exit slit movable stand and converts a rotational quantity of the eccentric shaft into a moving quantity of an exit slit smoothly and surely. SOLUTION: Upper and lower end parts of a slit movable base 2 are composed of two pieces of plate spring structures to put eccentric shafts 3 forming a cam mechanism between them. A shaft diameter of a part of the eccentric shaft 3 put between the plate spring structures is made larger than the gap between the two pieces of plate spring parts 2S on the slit movable base 2 to be a plus tolerance, and the eccentric shaft 3 and the two pieces of the plate spring parts 28 are always brought into close contact with each other so that the rotation of the eccentric shafts 3 are surely converted into displacement of the slit movable base 2.
