PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion device capable of quickly executing required HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) conversion by a simple key operation. SOLUTION: When a HIRAGANA character string is inputted from an input means, the HIRAGANA character string (1) is displayed on a display device, and when a HIRAGANA conversion key is depressed, the character string is converted into a KANJI/KANA mixed sentence (2). When the HIRAGANA conversion key is depressed again, a conversion range is converted into a HIRAGANA display (3), and when the HIRAGANA conversion key is furthermore depressed, the conversion range is extended (4). Thus HIRAGANA conversion is executed only by repeatedly depressing the conversion key and the HIRAGANA display part is successively extended. Consequently KANJI/KANA mixed sentence can be efficiently converted into a HIRAGANA display. In addition, the conversion range can be simply converted also into a KANJI/ KANA mixed sentence only by depressing the conversion key. |
