PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of measuring, both in the outdoors and in the indoors, the rotational movement of a golf ball using a relatively inexpensive device. SOLUTION: A hit golf ball 11 is photographed by two cameras 14,15, using the both cameras 14,15 arranged with a space along a flying-line direction of the set golf ball 11, and rotational movement of the golf ball 11 is measured based on images taken thereby. A ball in which a mark M of a convex polygon (preferably isoseles triangle) shape is marked on its surface using black color or a dark color similar to it is used as the golf ball 11, a position of an edge in the mark M is detected in the each photographed image by image processing, and the rotational movement of the hit golf ball 11 is calculated based on variation of the positions of the edges between the photographed images by the two cameras 14,15.
