PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk of which a packing density is high, ruggedness is easily processed, and lifting variations of a lifting slider can be suppressed, and a magnetic disk device provided with the disk. SOLUTION: A region SZN where a servo signal for positioning a signal recording/reproducing magnetic head is pre-formed by a rugged form SPN, is arranged from the inner periphery to the outer periphery of the disk at regular angular intervals in the circumferential direction of the disk, and also the rugged form SPN is formed, so that the lengths in the circumferential direction of the disk are constant from the inner periphery to the outer periphery of the disk.
