<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a 2nd language sentence to be a suitable translated sentence from a retrieval questioning sentence of a 1st language by using bilingual sentences pairs without being sharply influenced by a difference of expressions, the length of a sentence, and so on. SOLUTION: Plural pairs of sentences written in the 1st language and corresponding translated sentences written in the 2nd language are previously stored in a bilingual-sentence pair storing means 1, and when a retrieval questioning sentence written by the 1st language is received from a retrieval sentence input means 2, a 1st retrieving means 3 retrieves a set of sentences written by the 1st language and stored in the means 1 based on the retrieval questioning sentence. A 2nd retrieving means 4 retrieves a sentence similar to a translated sentence written by the 2nd language and stored in the means 1 from a set of translated sentences written by the 2nd language and stored in the means 1 correpsondingly to the sentence written by the 1st language and retrieved by the means 3. The translated sentence pairs are retrieved based on an input sentence of the 1st language and a sentence similar to the 2nd language sentence corresponding to the retrieved result is retrieved from the translated sentence pairs.</p> |
