发明名称 DRIVE METHOD FOR SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive method for an image pickup device which suppresses the rise of substrate voltage (reverse voltage) with which charge reverse to a photodiode occurs by such a manner that a read pulse is simultaneously applied to the whole pixels in a solid-state image pickup device which can read more than two vertical pixel line cycles. SOLUTION: The fluctuation of P well ground potential of an image pickup area is suppressed and the rise of substrate voltage with which charge reverse to a photodiode 4 occurs is suppressed by shifting pulse timing in which a read pulse that reads charge the photodiode 4 to a vertical CCD 5 in every pixel line cycle. The timing of a read pulse synchronizes the timing of one pulse fall time with the pulse rise time of the other pulses in timing of at least one place and offsets the fluctuation of P well ground potential due to pulse application.
