PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and accurately position a cassette at a specified position inside a case body, to obtain a clear X-ray image and also to prevent the cassette from falling down when inserted. SOLUTION: The up-and-down transfer device 7 and the right-and-left transfer device 21 for the cassette are provided inside the case body 1. A cassette tray 15 is disposed over up-and-down transfer belts 12 and 12, and the cassette is moved in an up-and-down direction by a predetermined distance by traveling a transfer belt at the up-and-down transfer device 7. Regarding the right-and-left transfer device 21, a truck 23 where a press-moving piece 36 is installed so that it can appear and disappear is connected with the right-and-left transfer belt 31 by a belt holding device and the truck 24 where the press-moving piece 36 is erected is directly connected with the right-and-left transfer belt 31, so that the cassette is transferred to a center part inside the case body. Also, there is a case that the cassette is transferred by slightly projecting the upper surface of the right-and-left transfer belt from a hole formed at the horizontal part of the cassette tray and also the other case that a cassette pressing device is provided at an inserting port with respect to the right-and-left transfer device.
