PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in printing resistance, of which an electric characteristic is not impaired. SOLUTION: In this electrophotographic photoreceptor, a surface layer of a photosensitive layer 2 contains wax in which contents of respective elements of inorganic elements contained as impurities are 20 ppm or less. Abrasion is reduced in repeated use for a long period, a cleaning property and durability against flaws are excellent, and other characteristics such as an electric characteristic and applicability are not impaired.
