PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate installation to a compressor or the like and to shorten the measuring time by providing a probe body with pressure holes for receiving the flow of a fluid to judge the flow direction. SOLUTION: A plurality of pressure holes 5 are provided on both side faces of a probe body 2, or the downstream side from a sensitive heating coil 4 so as to have equal opening area when viewed from the front, and connected to a manometer 9 by pipes or the like. The manometer 9 compares pressure sent from both pressure holes 5 and outputs the compared result to a control part 7. On the basis of this, the control part 7 computes the rotating quantity of the probe body 2 required to adjust the sensitive heating coil 4 to a flow direction and instructs a driving system 6. The driving system 6 rotates the probe body 2 to adjust the sensitive heating coil 4 to the flow direction. Even when a flow distribution is generated in a passage, the sensitive heating coil 4 can be positively adjusted to the flow direction to measure accurate flow velocity.
