PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce product costs for a cartridge having a magneto-optical disk. SOLUTION: This optical recording/reproducing device 1 is provided with a light emitting mechanism 3 for emitting a recording/reproducing light, a cartridge 5 incorporating a magneto-optical disk 21 for emitting a recording/ reproducing light to record/reproduce information, and a spindle motor 45 for making the magneto-optical disk 21 rotate. The inner part of the cartridge 5 is hermetically sealed, and the cartridge 5 is provided, inside, with a slider 27 floating on the recording surface 21a of the magneto-optical disk 21, a solid dipped lens 35 disposed in the slider 27, an optical system 31 for making the recording/reproducing light incident in the cartridge 5 and converging the light on the solid dipped lens 35, and further converging the recording/reproducing light emitted from the solid dipped lens 35 and emitting the light to the light emitting mechanism 3, and a head arm 29 swinging in the cartridge 5 while holding the slider 27 and the optical system 35. The cartridge 5 is provided freely detachably from the optical recording/reproducing device 1. |
