PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain detour that flexibly complies with a utilizing form of a memory so as to attain detour in the unit of VCs of cell assembling and disassembly destinations in the ATM communication network provided with a CLAD function. SOLUTION: The ATM communication network 17 that relays an ATM exchange 1 provided with a CLAD device 4 and an ATM exchange 8 provided with a CLAD device 11, is provided with two detour information management means 2, 9 that set in advance an active VC 15 and a detour VC 16 as VCs for cell assembly and disassembly destinations of the CLAD devices 4, 11 and store cross-reference between the active and detour VCs and conduct changeover/switchback by an instruction from maintenance consoles 40, 41.
