PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high speed processing by shortening processing time at the time of executing image data processing including expansion, reduction and rotation of image data and to improve the quality of image data by preventing deterioration of picture quality. SOLUTION: The processor for image data processing including expansion, reduction and rotation of image data is provided with a rotational angle judging means tar judging the rotational angle of image data stored in a corresponding source image memory 9 at the time of the rotational processing of the image data and a rotational processing means for changing the scanning direction of a source image in accordance with the judged rotational angle and transferring data at the time of transferring the data from the source image memory 9 to a destination image memory 10.
