PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable concentration indication without large fluctuation of origin indication when an analytical curve is switched from a positive concentration area to a negative concentration area by setting a differential coefficient at the origin of a function as the gradient of the analytical curve in the negative concentration area. SOLUTION: The differential coefficient at an origin of an analytical curve in a positive concentration area expressed by a function of a detection signal from a detector is made the gradient of the analytical curve in a negative concentration area. That is, when a curve A expressed by a function of F(x)=axn+bxn-1+...+cx+d is used for the analytical curve in the positive concentration area, a differential coefficient F(0)=c(c>0) in the case of x=0 is obtained, and this value is made the gradient of the analytical curve in the negative concentration area. A straight line C expressed by G(x)=cx is therefore used. The measured concentration value in the negative concentration area is therefore the smooth continuous value without abrupt fluctuation compared to a concentional method so as to suppress the abrupt fluctuation of concentration indication at a switchover point between the analytical curve A in the positive concentration area and the analytical curve C in the negative concentration area.
