PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk recording apparatus which has remarkably reduced the time required for data reading and writing operation. SOLUTION: The magnetic heads 1-1, 1-2 are provided in the same number per track as the number of logical sectors n (n=2 in the case of Fig. 1), the write data is divided to n data and the magnetic heads 1-1, 1-2 simultaneously write the divided data to the logical sectors 9-1, 9-2. Moreover, the magnetic heads 1-1, 1-2 respectively reads simultaneously the divided data from the logical sectors 9-1, 9-2 and obtained data is rearranged to recover a series of data. The average rotation waiting time is expressed by [time required for single turn of magnetic disk/2], and the data transfer time is expressed by [time required for single turn of magnetic disk×sector length/(track length×n)].
