PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gamma correcting circuit which can be operated fast. SOLUTION: The gamma correcting circuit has 1st to 3rd correcting circuits which input three primary color signals. The respective correcting circuits have 1st to 3rd differential amplifier circuits 1A, 2A, and 3A which generate signals corresponding to the differences between the primary color signals being input signals Si and reference voltages V1, V2, and V2 and a load resistance RL. The 1st to 3rd differential amplifier circuits 1A, 2A, and 3A are connected in parallel and their output terminals 1AT, 2AT, and 3AT are connected to the output terminal To of the correcting circuit. The 1st to 3rd differential amplifier circuits 1A, 2A and 3A and load resistance RL constitute a polygonal line circuit which switches an amplification factor at a polygonal point voltage.
