PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dummy outline inconspicuous by outputting a value different from quantized data which should be outputted originally if the sum an input value and an error reaches a specific value when input image data are quantized into data of at least two levels by a quantization method such as an error propagation method. SOLUTION: This processor is provided with a table wherein values e0, e1, and e2 of errors to be distributed and the values of quantized data o0 and o1 are previously calculated. Here, the density of an input pixel and error correction data to which errors distributed from peripheral pixels are added are found to select a value stored in the table, error data are distributed to the peripheral pixels, and quantized data quantized to at least two levels are outputted; and the table is stored with levels 1 and 0 different from levels 0 and 1 of the original process result corresponding to the levels as quantized data for the specific level 100 of the error correction data.
