ADDRESS SERVER FOR BROADCASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for transfer of packets by making an existing address server to perform broadcasting as its diverting use. SOLUTION: A connection preparation means 11 spreads connection for broadcasting to all terminals 41-43 beforehand based on address information provided by this address server 10. At the time of receiving an inquiry of a physical address corresponding to a broadcasting protocol address from the terminal 41, an address response means 12 answers the physical address dedicated to broadcast to the terminal 41. The terminal 41 which receives it transmits a broadcasting packet with the physical address dedicated to broadcast as a destination. A first packet transfer means 13 which receives it transfers the broadcasting packet to all the terminals 41-43 through the connection for the broadcasting spreaded by the connection preparation means 11.
