PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a software development supporting device to design a software by using a suitable package by visibly displaying symbols showing classes and members composing packages and the relation of reference, and changing the package constitution of a correspondent source file according to an instruction to change the symbols and the relation of reference. SOLUTION: A repository database 10 holds the constitution information of packages and classes and the reference information among these elements. A syntax analysis information database 15 holds syntax analysis information provided by analyzing a source file 20. A source analytic part 50 prepares or updates the repository data base 10 and syntax analysis information database 15 by analyzing the source file 20. A repository visualizing part 30 visualizes the information in the repository database 10 and graphically displays it. According to the instruction of a user received through a display control part 60, a program correcting part 40 updates contents in the repository database 10, syntax analysis information data base 15 and source file 20.
