摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member suitable as a separator for solid high molecular fuel cell capable of being stably operated for a long time, and to provide the manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: This separator member is formed of a plate molding body composed of 60-85 wt.% of the graphite powder, having 50 μm or less for the mean grain diameter and 100 μm or less for the maximum grain diameter and 15-40 wt.% of the thermosetting resin, and formed of a graphite-resin hardened molding body provided with material characteristic such as 300×10-4 Ωcm or less for characteristic resistance in the surface direction, 7 or less of a ratio of the natural resistance in the thickness/surface directions and 300 kgf/cm2 for the bending strength. This separator member is manufactured by adding 15-40 wt.% of the thermosetting resin, having 60% or more of nonvolatile component to 60-85 wt.% of the graphite powder having 50 μm or less of the mean grain diameter and 100 ×m or less of the maximum grain diameter, kneading them, crushing the kneaded material so as to fill it into a mold, and reducing the pressure for deaeration, and pressurizing it for forming, and heating the molding for hardening after forming it into a predetermined shape, or shaping it into the predetermined shape after heating it for hardening. When the aspect ratio of the graphite powder is 3 or less, mold-forming is performed, otherwise isotropic pressurizing is performed for molding.
