PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal structure of a piezoelectric element using lead titanate, a method for manufacturing the crystal structure, and a method for controlling the crystal structure. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric element made of lead titanate exhibits a crystalline structure remarkably different depending on whether its burning temperature is lower or higher than 700 deg.C. A crystal having extremely less remnant polarization on the one hand and a crystal exhibiting hysteresis characteristics with an extremely high saturation polarization on the other hand are obtained, depending on differences in the crystalline structure. Accordingly, differences in the crystalline structure cause different drive signals Sd1 and Sd2 to be applied to the piezoelectric element, thus obtaining different displacements δ1 and δ2 corresponding thereto. |
