PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a communication system reduced in the number of equipments, small in occupancy space and low in cost by deciding the scale of a demodulator provided in a base station not to be matched with the maximum traffic of the base station. SOLUTION: In this communication system consisting of plurality of base stations 6-1 and 6-2 that are provided with demodulators 12-1 and 12-2 demodulating a band signal used for radio communication into a base band digital signal and operated while connecting to a network 5, an optical fiber transmission line 7 interconnects the base stations, part of the band signals that are given to any of the base stations and not demodulated yet is sent to the other base station via the optical fiber transmission line 7 to allow the demodulator of the other base station to demodulate the band signal into a base band digital signal. |
