<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VTR device capable of identifying and removing a commercial portion without depending on the mode of a special signal or voice, and making clear the possibility of recording up to the end of a program as a result of removing the commercial portion at the time of reserving the program. SOLUTION: This VTR device is provided with a program reserving circuit 5 for reserving the recording of a program, a commercial determining circuit 4 for detecting the commercial portion of the program, a control circuit 10 for controlling a recording circuit 3 to record the program after removing the commercial portion therefrom, a reservation time calculating circuit 6 for calculating full reservation time of the reserved program except the commercial portion, a tape recording enable time calculating circuit 9 for calculating the recording enable remaining time of a tape, a comparator circuit 7 for comparing the recording enable remaining time with the full reservation time, a warning display circuit 11 for displaying a warning as to the impossibility of recording when the recording enable remaining time is shorter than the full reservation time.</p> |
