The building block (1) is parallelepiped and includes, in one of its faces, a channel cooperating with the edge of a window or door frame. The block can also have a longitudinal bore hole passing thorough it, allowing easy passage of drainage, or electrical wiring through a wall. The block has a tenon to fit into adjacent blocks.
