PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent data from being made to be fragments at the time of a copy by judging whether data being on a recording medium are continuous timewisely and the data are reproducable or not before a reproduction and rearranging the data of discontinuous parts to become continuous when the data are irreproducible. SOLUTION: During reading out data from respective data areas 5-5 to 5-10, a data quantity being in a buffer is increased and the data quantity is decreased while jumping. The data quantity being in the buffer is integrated every extent and when the data quantity does not become less than zero to the last, data are judge that continuous reproductions are possible. Then, for example, when the data quantity being in the buffer becomes less than zero at the time of a jump between areas 5-5 and 5-6, after a data area 5-11 is secured from unused areas and data are rearranged by copying the contents of the data areas 5-5, 5-6 to the data area 5-11, when the data quantity being in the buffer posterior to a jump to a next data area 5-7 becomes equal to or larger than zero, continuous reproduction operations become possible. Thus, data are rearranged so that data quantities being in all buffers become equal to or larger than zero in this manner.
