PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide insulating paint capable of manufacturing an insulated wire which overcomes a fault, in the solder releasing, of a conventional solder releasable insulated wire using polyester imide insulating paint, and in which the release of solder is sufficiently carried out even in the inside, even when the solder releasing is applied to a Litz wire, etc., formed by twisting a large number of thin wires. SOLUTION: This insulating paint is formed by dissolving, in an organic solvent, a polyester imide resin obtained by reacting (A) a divalent carboxyl acid including a five-membered ring imide group, or its derivative, or a mixture of them, (B) a trivalent carboxyl acid, or its derivative, or a mixture of them, (C) primary aliphatic divalent alcohol, (D) aliphatic divalent alcohol including at least one secondary or more alcohol group, and (E) trivalent alcohol.
