PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust such as magnetic powder from adhering to the body of a mold magnet by covering the magnet with a release agent, magnetizing the release-agent-covered magnet, and mounting the magnet after removing the release agent therefrom. SOLUTION: After an NdFeB-containing pulverized magnetic powder is mixed with an epoxy resin, the mixture is ring-shaped by forming, and then baked. Next, the resultant body is ground and polished so that the height H of the body 11 of a mold magnet 10 meets specifications. The polished body is thereafter chamfered to obtain a predetermined radius corner, and coated by spraying or electro-depositing using an epoxy rein coating material. The coated body 11 is subjected to an ultrasonic cleaning process in pure water, and is thereafter dried with air, in a hot stove, etc. Next, the dried body 11 is coated with a release agent 12 by immersion or spraying. Next the body 11 covered with the agent 12 is magnetized. Then, with the agent 12 removed, the body 11 is mounted. Therefore, dust on the surface can be removed together with the agent 12 at the time of the removal of the agent 12.
