PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the function of object equipment from stopping completely owing to an abnormality of only control program when the equipment itself has no abnormality. SOLUTION: This controller has a 1st memory (flash ROM 14) which holds a 1st control program (software B), a 2nd memory which holds a 2nd control program (software C) for operating the object equipment with a limited function, an inspecting means S1 which detects whether or not there is abnormality of a specific address of the flash ROM 14 at the time of actuation, and selecting means S3 to S7 which makes a jump to the software B when the data in the specific address of the flash ROM 14 have no abnormality and makes a jump to the software C when the data have abnormality. Consequently, the operation of the object equipment is controlled according to the control program.
